Lightscape in Brooklyn

Lightscape will transform the Brooklyn Botanic Garden into an enchanting 1.3-mile trail of lights, sound, and imagination. This holiday tradition features brand-new installations by international artists, alongside returning favorites that come alive at night in dazzling color.

THE EXPERIENCE

What can I expect from the event? Stroll through a glittering winter trail and be transported to an enchanted forest—right in the heart of Brooklyn. An all-new experience awaits with fresh and reimagined art, music, and special attractions. Make your plans now to experience NYC's newest holiday classic!
Where is the experience located? The experience is located at Brooklyn Botanic Garden, 990 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11225, USA.
How long does the experience last? It depends on your pace, however we recommend allowing 60-90mins to enjoy the experience.
Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue? This experience is held outdoors and takes place rain or shine. If a weather event presents a risk to safety and the event needs to be canceled, we will notify you via email at the address linked to your Fever account. When in doubt, please remember to check your spam folder too.
Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase? You will be able to purchase food and beverage at this event.
Is there parking available? Flat rate parking is available for this event, first come, first served. The venue is easily accessible by subway and we recommend taking public transportation.
Will there be additional sessions? Fever tickets are available on select evenings November 22 to January 3.
Are there any special events or evenings? Yes. There are three 21+ nights featuring craft cocktails and a stroller-free trail: December 4, December 11 and December 18.
Is there a dress code? This is an outdoor event, so please come prepared for the elements by wearing appropriate footwear and dressing warmly. Umbrellas are allowed on the trail in/near most installations, and we ask that you be courteous of other patrons when using them.
Are there places to shop? Yes, Terrain at Brooklyn Botanic Garden will be open for Lightscape visitors.

ABOUT TICKETS

Where can I get tickets? Tickets are available through the Fever website and app or at the Garden's official website. Discounted tickets for Garden members are available only at bbg.org/lightscape. The Fever App is available on Google Play and the Apple Store.
Can I purchase tickets at the door? Tickets will be sold at the door, but timeslots will sell out. We recommend purchasing ahead of time to guarantee your desired entry time.
Can I transfer my tickets to another person? Yes, you can transfer your tickets to anyone for free. It is as easy as clicking "Transfer Tickets" on your ticket in the Fever App. Please contact us if you need additional help. Make sure to include your ticket order number.
Do I need to print my ticket?

You can find your ticket in the "Tickets" section of the Fever app (you can download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play). Please remember to log in with the same login method used to make the purchase.

You will also find your QR code in your purchase confirmation email.

I can't find my ticket. What should I do? You can view your ticket in the Fever app, within the Tickets section. If you don't have the app installed, you can download it from the Apple Store or Google Play. Remember to log in using the same account that you used when buying the tickets. If you still cannot find your ticket, please contact us.
Can I change the date of my ticket? Are refunds allowed? For this event, all Fever ticket sales are final and tickets can't be refunded, changed or modified. For more information, please refer to our T&Cs.
Can I make a group booking? If you would like to book for a large group, please contact visitorservices@bbg.org with your preferred attendance date and the size of your group.
Do you offer press passes? Please reach out to Brooklyn Botanic Garden's press office at communications@bbg.org to inquire about press access for coverage of Lightscape.

About access to the event

Do I need to arrive at the start of my scheduled session? Our goal is to reduce wait times by staggering ticket sales, although there may still be some waiting time. Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes before the entrance time printed on your ticket. Your entry time is a 15-minute window from the time printed on your tickets (e.g., 7:00 – 7:15 p.m.). After you are admitted, you may stay as long as it takes you to walk the route.
Can I bring animals? Are service dogs allowed? No pets are allowed at Lightscape, though we do welcome service animals.
Is the venue accessible? This is an accessible venue; the route is designed so that it can be navigated on paved pathways.
Code of conduct Please do not bring any outside food or drink, scooters or recreational equipment, pets, or large bags.
Is the experience accessible for deaf/visually impaired people? This is an outdoor nighttime experience that involves elements of light and music along a gently illuminated path approximately 1 mile long, designed to be broadly accessible. Individuals who have specific accessibility questions may reach out to visitorservices@bbg.org for answers.
Will there be strobe lights? There will be some lighting sequences that have some flashing lights contained within them; however, there is no strobe lighting.
Are there chairs available? Can I be seated during the experience/exhibition? This is a walkthrough experience, but there will be some seating available throughout the trail.
Will restrooms be available on site? Yes, there will be restrooms available along the Lightscape trail.
Can I take photos or record the experience? Feel free to take photos and share them. When taking photos, please make sure not to disturb other customers. Professional equipment, tripods and monopods are not permitted.
Is there an age requirement? All ages are welcome to this experience! Thursdays in December are 21+ nights featuring craft cocktails and a stroller-free trail: December 4, December 11 and December 18.
